I tried so hard to find a unique reason why I want to share thoughts and content concerning mental health. My efforts seem to have been futile. In my struggle to find one, I would say "The upcoming articles relating to this subject matter would speak for itself". I hope to...(the ellipses are intentional).
Well, here is what I found on the internet regarding why we should discuss matters relating to mental health :
-It could reduce the stigma that surrounds mental health issues.
-People need help. People have their private battles. An open discussion can be encouraging. It can help people get the help they need.
-In similitude to what was mentioned above, helps us as individuals to learn and as well foster a supportive environment
-I also learned that mental health improves physical health and well-being.
The list goes on.
I would share content about addictions, thought patterns, substance abuse, coping mechanisms, self-harm, trauma, emotions, pain, mental illness, reaching for help, recovery, encouragement, and resources. Alongside personal experience and the experience of others.
In this journey, I would sponsor free therapy sessions with professional therapists for anyone who needs one at certain times. Anticipate!
